Corruption Acting Chairperson is: Quader

BNP has been made the acting chairman of a person accused of corruption. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has reacted to the decision of Tarique Rahman to be the acting chairman of BNP.

Road transport and construction minister said that after yesterday's verdict, the country's political crisis did not increase, the internal crisis of BNP only increased.

Today this morning, in the Gazipur, Obaidul Quader said these words. He said this after answering the queries of journalists after visiting BRTC project work in Bogra district.

On Thursday, the court gave Khaleda Zia five years imprisonment for the corruption in the Zia orphanage trust case. Tarique Rahman was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for the five accused in the case. Each accused is fined Tk 2 million.

After yesterday's verdict, a notice sent by the BNP has been mentioned as Tarique Rahman's acting chairman of the BNP. Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi also said, "Tarique Rahman is the acting chairperson of BNP."

Responding to a question about whether the country's political crisis has been affected due to the verdict yesterday, Kader said, "The verdict did not cause a political crisis. Rather, the internal crisis of BNP will be concentrated.

Obaidul Quader said, who was given responsibility in the absence of Khaleda Zia? Who had been punished for seven years before? He is sentenced to punishment. Sentenced as a criminal. In this case, he has been fined 10 years and fined Tk 20 million.

In section 7 of the constitution of BNP, Ghat said, "People knew in the society as corrupt or notorious" will be considered as ineligible for candidates of any level committee or in the Jatiya Sangsad elections. The BNP has removed a section of the constitution, fearing that it might be used as a tool to break the party. On January 28, the party submitted the revised constitution to the Election Commission.

Today, Abdul Kader said the issue of excluding section 7 from the constitution, why the party has given the seven sections of the constitution, it is clear.

The minister said the government has not sued Khaleda Zia, there is no intervention. If Khaleda Zia was present regularly, the verdict would have been long before the case. Now he has delayed himself ahead of the elections, he said.
