Clashes erupted between supporters of two groups of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SHC). The clash erupted on Sunday night in connection with the closure of the canteen of the poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall. During the clashes, both the sides vandalized 18 rooms in two residential halls.
The Proctorial body of the university tried several times but could not stop the vandalism and fights. Riot police came to Sher-e-Bangla Nagar thana at around 12pm on the campus. The police went away after the situation became calm.
Proctor of the University Professor. Farhad Hossain said such a big incident happened with a little matter. If there is a resident of the university, there are many losses in the house breaks. None of the culprits will be exempted. Everyone will be subjected to exemplary punishment.
