Crop land in the face of threats due to brick field

Thousands of acres of land in Dhamrai Upazila in front of the threat due to illegal bricks. The brickfield is made up of agricultural land. There is no clearance from the district administration and environment department. Experts say that the top layer is being used for brick making due to the fertile strength of the land. Most of the bricks built in Dhamrai are illegal. The farmers say that the ash emitted from the brick-field is causing serious damage to nearby trees and crops.

Environmentalists say the use of underdeveloped technologies and the use of low-grade coal is a serious threat to the environment.

The administration has expressed helplessness that the owners of these establishments are not prepared for brick and preparedness.

Regarding the risks of the environment, the complaint was filed by SM Agro Ltd's MP and MP Alhaj Kamal Ahmed Majumder.
