Thai government's position against sexual tourism

Thais are the world's favorite tourists for sea beach, Buddhist temple, and world-famous cuisine. This year, 37.55 million tourists are expected to visit the country, Thai tourism authorities are hoping.
Prostitution in Thailand is illegal even if it is known for sex. Though observers believe that there are numerous sexist groups operating in the big cities of Thailand and foreign countries, the government will consider them earning consideration.

In the statement, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said that tourism authorities have taken marketing policies and strategies to advance Thailand on quality standard destinations, as well as strong opposition to any sex-based tourism.
In 2016, the then tourism minister in Thailand announced the evacuation of sex workers in the country to develop 'quality standard tourism'. Police then conducted raids in many big organizations who have been accused of providing sexual services.
This week's statement came in Thailand's diplomatic tone with the African country, Gambia.
Observers said that if the government wants, it will not be easy to evict these women who have been abducted all over the country.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Thai police told about 10 detainees, who are conducting 'sexual training' for their countrymen in the city's coastal city of Pattaya. They were charged with working without permission in Thailand.
