Swiss President will visit Rohingya refugee camp in Cox's Bazar

Visiting Swiss President Anla Berse will visit the Rohingya Refugee Camp in Cox's Bazar on February 6.

President Barça riding a plane of Swiss Federal Council at nine o'clock in the morning will depart from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar.

He will go to Kutupalong refugee camp in Cox's Bazar at around 11:30 am and stay there for up to one and a half hour. During the stay in Kutupalong, the Swiss President will speak with the Rohingya who took shelter in neighboring Bangladesh due to ethnic violence in Myanmar. There he will also talk to journalists.

Then, in the afternoon, around 3 pm, will depart for Dhaka.

The Swiss Embassy in Dhaka is said to be emphasizing the closer bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Switzerland to be closer to the Swiss President's visit. Also, the embassy has been informed that this tour has been organized to express sympathy for the victims of the refugee crisis.

Meanwhile, the Swiss President went to the National Memorial in Savar today (February 5th). There he paid tribute to the martyrs in the war of liberation. Then, he visited Bangabandhu Museum of Dhanmondi and paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
